HTS Second Annual Technology Showcase

The Harding Township School Technology Committee cordially invites you to attend our Second Annual Technology Showcase.

The evening will consist of hands-on workshops and presentations, demonstrating technology's crucial role in each of the educational experiences offered at Harding Township School. Learn more about the individual workshops offered by clicking here.

The event will take place on March 28th, 2012 from 7:00 pm until 8:30 p.m. We will gather in the Matthew C. Sellitto Gymnasium. We hope to see you there.

Piano Recital April 28 4PM

Residents of Harding Township are cordially invited to attend A RISING STAR CONCERT, a piano recital presented by Min Kwan and her graduate students.  Ms. Kwan, a resident of Harding Township, is a concert pianist and Associate Professor of Music at Rutgers University, Mason Gross School of the Arts.  The concert will take place on Saturday, April 28 at 4 PM in Fellowship Hall of the First  Presbyterian Church of New Vernon.  There is no charge for the event.  However, seating is limited and reservations would be appreciated.  For information and reservations, please call Patti Wood at (973) 425-0878.

Community Easter Sunrise Service

Harding Township residents are invited to join members of the Church of Christ the King and members of the First Presbyterian Church of New Vernon for an Easter Sunrise Service on Sunday, April 8 at 6:30AM at Bayne Park.  For information, please call Patti Wood at (973) 425-0878.

Senior Citizens Presents- All Welcome

On Thursday March 8th at 11 am Mike Meade will be addressing the Harding Seniors about things happening in the town. We meet at Church of Christ the King on Blue Mill Rd and all who may be interested are invited to join us.

Harding Seniors will be meeting at the Kemmerer Library on Blue Mill Rd., Thursday March 22 at 11 am and will hear Dev Modi speak.. He will give information about how to pick the best financial planner who is the right person for you to trust. Please join us even if you are not a member.

Pillows, Pizza and Pajama Party- Harding TWIG

Your children can make a difference in the world and our community and have fun doing it! Please join us on Friday, March 9th for a Pillows, Pizza and Pajama Party.

The Harding TWIG is sponsoring a pillow making party for the Goryeb Children's Emergency Department. We promise a rewarding experience for you and your child, knowing you made a sick child comfortable in their time of need.

The party will be on Friday, March 9th, from 5:00 to 7:00 pm in the basement of Christ the King. Food and refreshments will be provided.

T-Ball Registration

To all those future baseball greats, T-ball season is about to begin. All children entering into kindergarten or first grade should register today. The season is from April 27th to June 8th. All games are on Friday nights from 6-7:00pm at Harding Township school fields. Its a great way to introduce your child to the sport.

Registration runs until March 30th. The fee is $50 until the March 15th. After the 15th until the 30th the fee increases to $75, so register early.

Route 202 over Passaic Bridge Replacement

The DOT will be holding the Pre-Construction Public Information Center for the above-reference project on:

Tuesday, February 28th,  6 pm to 8 pm, Harding Township Municipal Building (Large Meeting Room) 

Anyone interested can stop by and review the plans.  DOT engineers and the contractor will be available to answer questions.

Harding expert and memorabilia collector, the Library is exhibiting a unique collection of artifacts and books associated with the president who gave our township its name.  Of special note is a black Warren G. Harding stamp, which was commissioned on the occasion of his, and which broke UPS rules.   Don’t miss this fascinating exhibit in our display cases.

Also, please join us for a presentation by Mr. Kraidman on Thursday, February 23, at 10:30 a.m.  Refreshments will be served.

Nursery School enrollment

 New Vernon Presbyterian Nursery School (NVPNS) is now accepting enrollment for our 2½, 3 and 4 year old classes for the 2012-2013 school year. We are a non-denominational, educational program that offers a warm and nurturing environment that helps your child prepare for kindergarten. All of our classes start at 9:00 am for a duration of 2 ½, 3½ or 4 hours respectively. We support our busy parents with optional early morning drop-off, Stay ’n Play until 3pm, summer camp and enrichment programs.  Most importantly, our kids and parents have fun!

New Township Committee Meeting Night

Correction:

The Township Committee meetings are scheduled for Monday, however, the public session will be the second Monday of each month. The previous posting had the executive session (which is the first Monday) and the public session reversed. Both meetings start at 7:30pm at Kirby Hall.
